Who we are
This site is operated by Rico 4 Kansas, the committee supporting Meagan Rico's candidacy for the Kansas House of Representatives, District 69. You can reach us at meagan@rico4kansas.com.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
Information you give us. When you sign up for email updates, fill out a contact or volunteer form, or send us a message, we collect what you provide. That may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or address, and anything you write in a message or volunteer form.
Donations. We do not process or store payment card information ourselves. Donations are handled by ActBlue, a third-party platform with its own privacy policy. When you donate, ActBlue collects information such as your name, mailing address, email, phone number, employer, occupation, and payment details, and shares the required portions with our campaign. Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and its hosting platform (Squarespace) automatically collect limited technical information through cookies and similar tools, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring site. We may also use website analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings and any cookie banner shown on the site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to send you campaign updates and other messages you have asked for, respond to your questions, coordinate volunteers, process and acknowledge donations, comply with campaign finance and other legal requirements, understand and improve how the site is used, and reach voters with information about the campaign.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:
Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the campaign, such as Squarespace (website hosting), our email provider, ActBlue (donations), and analytics providers. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
Legally required disclosure of donor information. Campaign finance law requires us to report certain information about donors to the appropriate government agency. For contributions above the reporting threshold, this generally includes the donor's name, address, occupation, and employer, as well as the contribution amount and date. These reports are public records and may be posted online by the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission or the Kansas Secretary of State. We cannot keep this required information private.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the campaign, our supporters, or others.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing us at meagan@rico4kansas.com. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will honor those requests where we are able and where the law does not require us to keep the information.
Children's privacy
Our site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, including ActBlue and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

You may share links to the Site and share content for non-commercial, personal, or news purposes with attribution, but you may not otherwise reproduce, modify, or use our content or marks without our permission.
Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites and services, such as ActBlue and social media platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites, their content, or their practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
